Jeffrey Judkins, DVM, CVA

Dr. Jeffrey Judkins graduated from the Louisiana State University in 1984 with a degree in veterinary medicine. Over the past eighteen years he has practiced small animal medicine in Texas and Alaska and had a holistic house call practice here in Portland before opening this clinic 6 years ago.

Dr. Judkins has a continuing interest in the study of Chinese and Western herbs and was certified by the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society in 1995. He enjoys hiking with his dog Hazel, cross country skiing and playing the mandolin with his band “The Lawnboys”.

Ingrid Hamann, DVM

Dr. Ingrid Hamann graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in veterinary medicine in 1987. She completed her Veterinary Acupuncture training in 2000 and is continuing education in Chinese Herbology. She has been in private practice in the Portland area for the past 13 years and was recently a relief veterinarian for Dove Lewis Emergency Clinic.

Dr. Hamann lives with her husband Dick, son Dylan, daughter Anja, their dog Stella and two guinea pigs, Molly and Shawn. As a past Outward Bound instructor, she has a strong love for the outdoors and spends her spare time biking, gardening, hiking, skiing and kayaking.

Nancy Curran, DVM, CVA

Dr. Nancy Curran’s interest in alternative medicine began when she spent 3 weeks in China studying Traditional Chinese Veterinary Acupuncture as part of her senior year in veterinary school. After graduating from Cornell University in 1996, she moved to Portland to begin her career.

She has since become certified by the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society and has received extensive training in Chinese Veterinary Herbology and Veterinary Homeopathy. Dr. Curran is an avid cyclist and enjoys spending time with her dogs and playing the guitar.

Darcy Hoyt , DVM, CVA

Dr. Darcy Hoyt began her study of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine during her senior year of veterinary school at Tufts University.

She completed her certification in veterinary acupuncture through the International Veterinary Acupuncture society, and has studied Chinese and Western herbal medicine. A native New Englander, she moved to Portland in 2004. She spends her free time being entertained by her five cats, horseback riding, hiking, cooking and learning how to knit and sew.
